What you have done should set as an example of how government needs to be run. Not only did you not wait for us to come to you or one of your sites, you came to us. You also, though not permanently obviously, have stayed with us and even answered questons and concerns of every day Americans.
I want to thank you, Congressman, for making all of the concerted efforts to talk to us and to take time out of your busy schedule running the country, to talk to us and to remind us that we are strong, we are great and we won't die. I am sure other congressmen and women have done this before. I want to thank you all too from the bottom of my heart. I also wish to impress upon you and your colleagues to join your walk, to come onto DailyKos to be a part of our discussions, our world, our problems and solutions. This will be a great stepping stone of not only technology and transparency but of the governing body of this great country. I will invite you and any congressman to make routine stops, take an hour or two a week out of your schedule to do this. It doesn't have to be professional, it doesn't have to be strict. I just think we all would do good to give you and your colleagues and party members a taste of what is on our mind short of going to town halls and what not. What does everyone think of this? If the President is going to talk to the people in town halls routinely, why can't the rest of the congress do so too? And yes, that means you Republicans.
